ABOUT OUR FIRM

The Attorneys Behind Harrison & Cole

Every attorney at this firm chose to be here because they believe injured and accused people deserve better representation.

Harrison & Cole Law Group was founded in 2008 by James Harrison and David Cole with a simple premise: hire good lawyers, treat clients like people, and never back down from a fight worth having.

Fifteen years later, the firm has grown to eight attorneys, three paralegals, and a dedicated client relations team. We have recovered over $47 million for our clients and tried more cases to verdict than most firms twice our size.

Our office sits on Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. Walk in, and the first thing you notice is that it feels more like a home than a law office. That is intentional.

James Harrison

Founding Partner

Texas Bar, 2008

Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Trucking Accidents

James Harrison has tried over 60 cases to verdict in Texas state and federal courts. He grew up in San Antonio and still remembers watching his family navigate an insurance dispute with no representation. That experience drives every case he takes.

David Cole

Founding Partner

Texas Bar, 2008

Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Civil Litigation

David Cole has negotiated over $30 million in settlements for clients who were told their cases had no value. Before law school, he spent three years as an EMT in East Austin. He saw firsthand what happens when injured people are left without advocates.

Maria Santos

Senior Associate

Texas Bar, 2014

Family Law, Child Custody, Protective Orders

Maria Santos has represented over 120 families in Travis County custody and divorce proceedings. She speaks fluent Spanish and serves clients who are often overlooked by other firms. Her goal in every case is a resolution that protects the children first.

Robert Chen

Associate

Texas Bar, 2018

Criminal Defense, DWI, Drug Offenses

Robert Chen joined the firm after three years as a public defender in Harris County. He handled over 200 cases in that role and learned that every defendant deserves a vigorous defense regardless of the charge. He brings that same urgency to private practice.

Angela Wright

Associate

Texas Bar, 2019

Civil Litigation, Contract Disputes, Business Law

Angela Wright clerked for a federal judge in the Western District of Texas before joining Harrison & Cole. That experience gave her an understanding of how judges think and how to present arguments that land. Her clients benefit from that perspective every day.
